Borgata, located in Atlantic City in New Jersey, unveiled its newly refurbished multimillion-dollar high-limit slot lounge.

The high-limit slot lounge at Borgata, known as Miralto, will return on Friday, December 23, after undergoing an extensive restoration that cost many millions of dollars. 

The club, which is adjacent to the hotel lobby and spans 8,300 square feet, is undergoing renovations that will result in a new design that “embraces the elegance and refinement that is synonymous with Borgata.”

Creating a High-Limit Slot Experience 

The new area was characterized as having a “vast gold in color framework mixed with frosted window panes to create a hidden high-limit slot experience” in a news release about the casino.

In addition to the refurbishment of the Miralto, the entire slot gaming floor is undergoing a makeover at this very moment. The traditional, lengthy rows of slot machines are being transformed into “a dynamic, spacious experience” with the introduction of new game arrangements and comfortable seating. The establishment will also make improvements for patrons who enjoy table games by installing 92 televisions measuring 55 inches across the gaming floor. 

This will ensure that patrons do not have to relocate in order to view important sporting events. The makeover is taking place while Atlantic City’s market continues to show signs of improvement. 

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement recently published its financial results corresponding to November, which showed a 4% increase in revenues from in-person gamblers at casinos compared to 2021. These results were posted in response to a request for public comment.

Revenue Increase and Still Functioning Admit Pandemic

Despite the fact that the majority of the properties are still operating below the levels at which they were functioning prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, the revenue for the month of November was a total of $214.5 million. 

The sum of $41 million was earned through gambling in its entirety, including wagers placed via the internet and on sporting events; this represents a year-over-year rise of 0.3%.

The information indicates that the destination’s nine casinos earned a total of $214.5 million from in-person gamblers, which is an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous month’s total. The fact that only two of them won more money from these consumers in December compared to November 2019 is something that continues to be a cause for concern for the New Jersey casino sector.
