IGT collaboration with UbetOhio

International Game Technology (IGT), a company that provides gaming technology and solutions on a global scale, recently announced that it has formed an agreement with UBetOhio and has installed its PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks at restaurants and bars all around the state of Ohio.

Going live with the self-servicing betting kiosks through an agreement with Green Bear Gaming Development, LLC, the business entity behind UBetOhio, is just the first step for IGT, as the supplier of betting technology and solutions is planning to deliver its PlaySports Pads in the coming months. UBetOhio is the business entity behind the initiative.

Providing the Technology to Empower Sports Wagering 

IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher issued the following statement in response to the recent development: “Commenting on the development, Joe Asher outlined the agreement as an opportunity for IGT to utilize UBetOhio’s Type C Sports Gaming license which allows it “to offer betting on popular sports,” while simultaneously providing the technology to empower its partner to offer sports wagering “in societal settings where fans are already watching games on TV.”

Kiosks for Placing Bets Are Just the First Step

UBetOhio intends to provide full-service sports betting retail kiosks to over one thousand bars, grocery stores, and restaurants across the state of Ohio. The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) has licensed UBetOhio as a Type C Proprietor, and the Ohio Lottery will regulate the business. 

IGT’s PlaySports QuickBet Kiosk is their most extensively utilized self-service sports betting technology in the United States, and it will enable UBetOhio to provide players with an enjoyable betting experience while maintaining a small footprint.
