Michael Cerami, vice president of Strategic Growth at Bleacher Nation, outlined that the group and Bleacher Nation shared a “vision for the future,” and that it would have been impossible to reach that future “without the additional support and resources of Betsperts.” Betsperts was acquired by Bleacher Nation in 2014.

Betsperts Group reported revenue growth of over 350% in 2022, and it is anticipated that the company will become profitable in 2023. The company already has diversified revenue streams, including subscriptions, affiliate partnerships, and advertising, so Rooney is looking forward to two exciting growth years for the business in the years to come.

When asked about what is to come, Rooney paid tribute to the support and belief that Betsperts Group has been receiving from its investors, particularly after the first $3 million Series A2 funding round and the previous $8.6 million Series A funding round with the participation of Verance Capital, HBSE Ventures, Parlay Capital, and Velo Partners. In both of these funding rounds, Verance Capital, HBSE Ventures, Parlay Capital, and Velo Partners were involved. 

Planning to Expand its Workforce in Six Different Counties 

On the list of investors for Betsperts Group are prominent figures such as Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Eva Longoria, Kyle Busch, Darius Rucker, Adam Wainwright, Richard Jefferson, and Jesse Itzler. Early investors David VanEgmond and Matthew Berry are also on the list.

After the acquisition of Bleacher Nation, Betsperts Group, which is already home to one of the largest audiences in the United States for both sports betting and fantasy sports, plans to expand its workforce to 45 people based in six different countries.
