Gaming Innovation Group recently announced a long-term agreement with Tipwin Ltd.  The partnership will affect GiG’s platform. GiG Logic and data platform.

GiG to be used in the new casino offering

Under the new agreement, Tipwin will utilize GiG for its new casino offering. It would be using its own licenses from the Swedish and Maltese gaming authorities. The two will work on a revenue share model and the contract term will last for a minimum of three years.

Tipwin was founded in 2011 and offers multi-channel sports betting to users both online and offline. It is operating more than 1,500 retail betting shops across Europe and sponsors two of Germany’s first league football teams- Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer 04 Leverkusen. It is one of the most well-known gambling brands in the German market.

Its new next-generation sportsbook has been designed from scratch. It is powered by the GiG casino platform and capitalized on the digital transformation of online and retail gambling. The sportsbook is being developed in anticipation of the nationwide German regulation for sports betting and online casino in 2021.

When will the offering go live?

The new sportsbook is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2020. It is expected to start contributing to GiG’s revenue positively from 2021 onwards.  GiG CEO Richard Brown commented on the agreement and said that the company is delighted to partner with Tipwin. He acknowledged the successful retail sportsbook record of Tipwin over the past 9 years.

“We see strong potential in linking up with a brand with a large existing retail customer base and anticipate further growth in the number of casino customers in the German market post-regulation in 2021, therefore partnering with an existing retail offering will enable further capture of the expected transition of customers from land-based to online gaming,” he added.

Tipwin CEO Ivica Batinic said that this partnership will help Tipwin round up its broader iGaming portfolio.
