NetEnt Debuts In The Michigan Priority Market

NetEnt recently launched its offerings in the Michigan priority market as the state expanded gambling options on Friday. Michigan will now have online gaming and online sports betting.

NetEnt rolls out its titles

NetEnt is launching a variety of its titles with multiple operators. Popular games include the likes of Divine Fortune, Starburst, and Blackjack. These games are already popular in the regulated markets of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia. The Evolution Gaming Group subsidiary’s launch became possible after the Michigan Gaming Control Board greenlighted the expansion of its gambling market.

Several other operators are also making their presence felt in the market with casino partnerships. This includes BetMGM, which has partnered with MGM Grand Detroit and Roar Digital, Churchill Downs which has partnered with TwinSpires Sportsbook, and Island Resort & Casino.

DraftKings has partnered with Bay Mills Resort & Casinos, FanDuel with MotorCity Casino, Golden Nugget with Ojibwa Casino & Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, and William Hill with Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. BetRivers is working with Rush Street Interactive and Little River Casino Resort.

An important move for the firm

Commercial Director, North America for Evolution, Jeff Millar commented on the launch and said, “Friday’s successful launch with multiple operators is the result of months of planning for Michigan’s go-live and years of on-the-ground experience in the US. America is an absolute priority market for Evolution Group, which is reflected by the scale of NetEnt’s first-day presence in Michigan.”

Entering the Great Lakes State will help the firm in cementing its position as a popular operator in the US market. Its debut on US soil came via a partnership with Caesars Interactive Entertainment in New Jersey. It worked on the firm’s online brand CaesarsCasino.com. Its NetEnt Americas LLC also went live in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The firm is planning to reveal a state-of-the-art live casino broadcast studio in Michigan soon. This will be the firm’s 3rd in the US and 11th venture globally.
