The Entain Foundation US announced on Thursday, September 23, its support to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for its trailblazing sports betting and gaming research initiative.

Entain Foundation supports UNLV’s pioneering research

UNLV will conduct the research to find the best practices in responsible gambling, policy, and health for the first time in the US by combining scientific research with operational expertise, as reported by Casino Beat.

Bo Bernhard, UNLV vice president, economic development, and executive director of UNLV’s International Gaming Institute, said the undertaking would represent the moving beyond traditional research center as the project “will translate scientific research into actionable, operational programs that can be implemented in real venues by operators, regulators, legislators, clinicians, and other stakeholders.”

Entain, a global gaming conglomerate and owner of BetMGM in the US with MGM Resorts International, will provide financial support to the research to be carried out by a non-profit organization.
