In cooperation with Connecticut Lottery and sports betting brands DraftKings and FanDuel, PlaySugarHouse will initially allow a limited number of customers to place bets and experience RSI’s world-class betting platform before its full launch on October 19. PlaySugarHouse offers limited spots for now For the time being, the RSI platform-powered sportsbook in Connecticut will accommodate up to 750 customers on a first-come-first-serve basis under Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection regulations. Once the limited spots are filled, pre-registered customers at the sportsbook’s site will be waitlisted. From there, they will receive notification as soon as PlaySugarHouse secures the green light to proceed with the full launch, tentatively as early as October 19. Apart from the limited number of players, the sportsbook will operate within specific timeframes throughout the opening week. PlaySugarHouse started accepting bets from 3 pm-11 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday; and 12 pm-11:59 pm on Thursday and Friday. After that, the sportsbook’s operation will be open for business around the clock, 24 hours a day throughout the period. The Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes, RSI partners in the state, have begun offering online casino gaming, as permitted by the state regulator. As approved by the DCP, PlaySugarHouse has taken more than 100 slot titles live, not including live dealer or peer-to-peer online casino games. At full operations, PlaySugarHouse will be offering not only online sports betting and casino entertainment to customers, but it will be maintaining a physical presence as well, with 15 retail sportsbooks spread across Connecticut. The sportsbook’s retail stores are located at the following venues: Bobby V’s locations in Stamford and Windsor Locks; Sports Haven in New Haven; and the Winners locations in Hartford, Manchester, Waterbury, Torrington, New Britain, Milford, and Norwalk, subject to regulatory approvals.
