The launch, powered by Gaming Innovation Group, adds Argentina and the city of Buenos Aires to the company’s growing list of licensed markets for its igaming platform, indicating an active presence in the regulated LatAm region.

The launch adds Argentina and the city of Buenos Aires to GiG’s growing list of licensed markets for its iGaming Platform, indicating an active presence in regulated Latin America (LatAm). Argentina’s gambling regulation is overseen by the City of Buenos Aires and each province. Grupo Slots and GiG won approval earlier this year in March to install the online gaming platform in Buenos Aires, one of only seven licenses available until April 8, 2021.

Grupo Slots is dedicated to providing the highest quality amusement and recreational services. Since 1985, the firm has also sought a suitable environment for all of its workers’ personal and professional development and contributes diverse value-creation opportunities to society.

The group operates 75 commercial establishments in 24 different locations throughout the provinces of San Luis, Chaco, Neuquén, and Buenos Aires, providing services, entertainment, and recreation through the following: traditional casino lounges | slot machine lounges | bingo halls | administration and commercialization of lottery games | online gambling platform | official horse racing track | horse racing agency | hotels | convention centers | restaurants, bars, and cafés | real estate developments

Grupo Slots is headquartered in Argentina’s San Luis region and operates over 20 venues throughout the country, including casinos, gambling & bingo halls, lottery, hotels, restaurants, and its online gaming website Jugadon.com. The announcement comes on the heels of GiG signing a definitive agreement with Grupo Slots in November 2020. A fully integrated online turnkey solution includes their trusted iGaming platform, proprietary sportsbook, front-end development, and CMS and GiG’s data platform and rules engine, GiG Logic.

Quotes from the Press Release

Juan Ignacio Torres, Grupo Slots’ General Manager, stated: “Today, we achieved a new milestone in the company’s history because the launch of Jugadon in the City of Buenos Aires is a significant step forward that builds on the company’s extensive experience in the gaming sector. We formed an excellent team with GIG and created a stable and secure platform that meets regulators’ and Buenos Aires City’s market standards. We want to express our gratitude to our staff for their great efforts over the previous several months, which enabled us to accomplish this goal.”

“I am thrilled to have launched in the city of Buenos Aires with such a well-known brand as Grupo Slots,” stated Richard Brown, CEO GiG. Buenos Aires is a dynamic market poised to become one of the largest in Argentina, with tremendous development potential in the interactive arena, fueled by regulatory changes and digital online gaming penetration expansion. I am tremendously proud to have been one of the market’s early movers and look forward to expanding our footprint in the region.”
