Critical is the choice of aggregation partner

The integration of White Hat Studios’ content with Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform has increased Light & Wonder’s appeal as an aggregator, bringing top-performing UK titles to players in Michigan.

Andy Whitworth, the chief executive officer of White Hat Studios, stated that from the studio’s inception, “the right choice of aggregation platform partner” was considered “crucial for speed to market in the US.” The studio is pleased to bring its content to players in Michigan and has plans to go live in Pennsylvania and New Jersey shortly.

Following the launch in the Great Lakes State, operator partners of Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming aggregation platform can now offer their players a taste of iconic, feature-rich titles such as Ted, Deal or No Deal, and Beavis and Butthead, which have already proven to be hugely successful in Europe and the United Kingdom, as well as land-based inspired content by Mercur Gaming and Reel Time Gaming.

Titles Promising Success

According to Steve Mayes, director of partnerships at Light & Wonder, the gaming content that “has long been among the top performers” in regulated markets in Europe and North America will “prove to be immensely popular” in the United States.

Mayes highlighted the significance of the partnership with White Hat Studios, noting that it is anticipated to help Light & Wonder strengthen its platform’s position in a market that has yet to reach its full potential. 

The launch in Michigan is the first of many, as the goal is to launch White Hat Studios’ titles on the OpenGaming platform in all regulated U.S. states within the next twelve months.

Under the terms of the agreement, OpenGaming partners will gain access to the innovative Jackpot Royale jackpot offering, as well as games and RGS White Hat Studios acquired from Blueprint Gaming last year. 

The addition of White Hat Studios titles to the OpenGaming platform would increase the platform’s selection of games to more than 3,500 titles created by a global network of in-house and third-party studios, and solidify Light & Wonder’s position as the leading cross-platform game company.
