Stats Perform and Veritone Form Partnership

Stats Perform will leverage its top Opta sports data in conjunction with the award-winning synthetic voice AI technology provided by Veritone to give new AI voice comments to sports betting platforms, media organizations, and other sports betting entities throughout the world.

The new AI voice technology will enhance the capabilities of Stats Perform.

The revolutionary technology, according to the company, will be used to “enable voice-enhanced commentary for automated match previews, recaps, player bios, and play-by-play.”

In addition, Stats Perform will utilize the technology to enable access to content for sports fans who may have reading or vision impairments. The synthetic AI voice technology will facilitate the global distribution of sports material in native languages.

President of Veritone Ryan Steelberg stated that the new alliance is a watershed moment for the AI and sports tech industries. He disclosed that the unique AI voice technology will be the first of its kind to be implemented globally for sports reporting.

Last but not least, Steelberg stated, “It elevates sports storytelling to a new level and significantly alters audience involvement.”

New technologies will facilitate the creation of localized content

Steve Xeller, chief sales officer of Stats Perform, viewed the AI voice commentary as a natural progression for the sports industry.

He noted that Veritone’s technology allows for the development of voices in languages other than English, including German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and even Arabic.

According to Xeller, this will assist in extending the reach of Stats Perform’s material and providing localized content. Last but not least, he emphasized that the collaboration will provide crucial assistance to individuals with disabilities and impairments.

Stats Perform was founded four decades ago and is currently the industry’s leading provider of sports technology solutions. As an innovator that continually invests in its products, the company utilizes machine learning and AI to continuously improve its products and enhance the sports fan experience.
