Indiana Legislators Have Drafted a Bill Regarding Online Casinos

Indiana legislators have provided a sneak peek of what online gambling in the state may look like. Essentially, if all goes as planned, Indiana would legalize online casinos and racinos. In addition, Indiana residents could now play poker online. Finally, the Hoosier Lottery would be permitted to offer online versions of its current games.

Specifically, each casino partner would be permitted to partner with three distinct brands. Casinos would be required to pay a license fee of $500,000 plus an additional $50,000 for each additional year of operation. 

Indiana plans to impose an 18% tax on online casino revenue. In conclusion, lawmakers stated that 3.33 percent of tax revenue would be allocated to Addiction Services. Keep in mind that the aforementioned information is subject to change, and the final bill may differ slightly.

Possible Online Casino Launch in September 2023
