The Detroit Lions announced that BetMGM will be their first official sports betting partner. BetMGM is a joint venture between British giant GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International.

The new partnership between BetMGM and Detroit Lions will feature fan-focused assets like presenting sponsorship of Lions Perks and Lions Bingo. It will also feature a team broadcast programming, in-stadium promotions, and signage and digital marketing assets. With these additions, you can get an extension of the existing multi-year partnership between the Lions and MGM Resorts. It features the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club at Ford Field.

Commenting on the new partnership, Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood, noted,

“The Detroit Lions historic relationship with BetMGM has been years in the making and we’re proud to announce details of our official partnership. We’re continuously seeking new ways to entertain and involve our fans which is especially important during such unusual times; this partnership with BetMGM will provide additional and exciting opportunities to engage our fans.”

BetMGM hopeful for better times

Matt Prevost, the chief marketing officer of BetMGM said that they hoped for a deeper relationship with MGM when the Lions opened the first BetMGM Sports Lounge at the MGM Grand Detroit in March this year. He also noted that Lions fans will now get access to the best-in-class perks and promotions via BetMGM.

Lions Bingo was already available on the Detroit Lions mobile app. The free to play a game was introduced last year and features non-cash prizes. However, with BetMGM, users will be getting cash prizes as well as all-expenses-paid trips to MGM Resorts properties across the US. Lions Perks were first introduced in 2018 which are available to all fans at Lions home games. BetMGM and BetMGM Sports Lounge at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino will be offering exclusive Perks offers and rewards. A portion of the BetMGM Points and Lions Perks can also be gifted to Detroit Lions Charities.
