Michigan’s online gaming market has gotten more crowded as Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians secured necessary approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board to operate its online casino gaming and sports betting business in the state.

New Online Casino: The Michigan Gaming Control Body (MGCB), the gaming regulatory body in the state, announced early this week that they approved the application of Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians and its platform provider partner, NYX Digital, to carry out their internet casino and sports betting business in the jurisdiction. 

Michigan’s newest online casino enterprise will operate under the FireKeepers Casino Hotel brand, becoming the thirteenth operator since legislation ratified the bill permitting online casino activities in the Wolverine State. MGCB revealed that they are in the process of authorizing a fourteenth operator in the state, though it may only offer online casino for now.   

iGaming Content: With the support from its SG Digital Tech partner, the new online casino and sports betting operator will showcase a massive collection of slots for their customers’ pleasure. It will also offer various table games such as Let it Ride, Blackjack, Monopoly, QuickHits, and 88 Fortunes.  

As for the sports betting side of the business, the operator has in store a variety of sports betting options in North American and International sports leagues. The platform allows customers to wager on matches, tournaments, and more competitions in football, basketball, hockey and baseball, NASCAR, boxing, MMA, soccer, championship golf, championship tennis, and more.

Henry Williams, MGCB executive director, explained their decision allowing Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians to carry out their online casino and sports betting operations in the state.

“The tribe’s representatives provided key support for the development of the laws signed in 2019 that allow federally recognized tribes in Michigan to seek licenses for internet casino gaming and online sports betting.
