Betsson Group has officially established its marketplace presence in the Belarus iGaming arena, bringing an array of real-money gaming options such as online casino, sportsbook, and poker under the Europebet brand.

Betsson real-money product now in Belarus

The Deal: Betson issued a press release on Wednesday, announcing its arrival in the Belarusian regulated market. Aside from offering its wide selection of online casino and sportsbook content, the group has set up an office in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus. This office will provide customer service and carry out administrative and operational activities related to the business. 

The Product:  The iGaming content provider is fielding its top-of-the-class product line consists of online slots, table games, and other real-money games alternatives. Belarusian customers now have access to other gaming options, including sports betting and online poker, a first in the market’s history. Europebet.by intends to add more games coming from different suppliers and introduce live casinos soon.

The Objective: Sweden-based Betsson has long desired to expand its market reach, especially in nearby countries like Belarus. With its latest market entry, it puts itself in a position to gain more footing in Eastern Europe.

Company Update:

Betsson’s sportsbook unit recorded strong numbers on the heel of EURO and Copa America football tournaments.

For its Q2 trading, Betsson registered a considerable increase in its sportsbook trading margin to 8.5 percent, indexing above its eight-quarter rolling average margin of 7.4 percent.
