PointsBet lights up New Jersey online casino scene with igaming platform debut

PointsBet’s proprietary igaming platform has entered New Jersey’s online casino space following its debut in Michigan earlier this year.

New Jersey Online Casino: PointsBet

The Garden State becomes the second jurisdiction in the United States to offer real-money games from the PointsBet gaming platform.

The platform’s arrival will undoubtedly spice up the online gaming scene in New Jersey, which has emerged as one of the strongest markets for the vertical.

PointsBet has solidified its status as a major player in the region by offering another gaming option for New Jersey customers, apart from its fixed-odds sportsbook and its ‘PointsBetting’ platform.

The online casino industry in New Jersey continues to trend upward, with revenue in gaming posting tremendous numbers since the repeal of PASPA in May 2018.

PointsBet also puts itself in a position to reap the benefits of a growing online casino economy in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia. The operator established a presence in these markets, where revenues peaked at almost $900m in June 2021. These optimistic numbers through the second quarter place them well on track to achieving $3.5bn revenue for this year.

PointsBet has also set up a sports betting platform in Colorado and established its North American headquarters in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and New Jersey.

The group intends to cater their sports wagering and online casino product in more states in the US, including Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The operator plans to attain these milestones as part of their ambitious US expansion roadmap through market entry deals, pending legislation, and /or regulatory approvals.
