The casino developer and operator proposed to build the gaming center and hotel resort in Terra Haute located in Vigo County, Indiana.

Alex J. Stolyar, senior vice president and chief development officer of Full House Resorts, said the company spent the last five years exploring the possibility of building a world-class entertainment facility in Terra Haute.

The executive disclosed that the proposed $250m gaming and entertainment center to be built on a 32-acre land would carry the name “American Place.”

The location of the planned casino resort would make it accessible via all major roadways. Located roughly one hour east of Indiana and within 100 miles from nearby towns of Champaign-Urbana, Decatur, Illinois, and Lafayette, Indiana, travelers traversing the Interstate 70 would get a view of the casino.

Full House Resorts wants to make the project earth-friendly as much as possible by building a large greenhouse next to the casino and hotel. Other amenities would include a swimming pool and restaurant at the top of the hotel, giving guests a breathtaking scenery of the surrounding location.

Finally, the casino at American Place would feature 1,000 slot machines, 50 table games, and a “state-of-the-art” sportsbook. True to a green-friendly theme, a solar energy farm atop the casino would provide a portion of the electricity needed to power the whole complex.

Alex J. Stolyar, senior vice president and chief development officer of Full House Resorts, shared more insights into their planned project at Terra Haute, Indiana.

“Since we first started exploring gaming opportunities five years ago, we have seen how eager the citizens of Terre Haute and Vigo County have been to attract a world-class gaming destination. We are excited to propose our revolutionary development to the residents and community leaders who have so patiently waited and supported us.”

Daniel R. Lee, President and chief executive officer of Full House Resorts, added:

After several years of studying Terre Haute and nearby communities, we believe we have designed a unique destination that will make Indiana residents proud. American Place was designed to be a world-class entertainment facility, one that will bring new jobs and revenues to Terre Haute, Vigo County and the State of Indiana.”

“We have been licensed in good standing in Indiana for many years, where we own and operate the Rising Star Casino Resort and Golf Course in Rising Sun, which opened in 1996. This project would allow us to leverage our experience and database in Indiana, with cross-marketing opportunities with Rising Star.”
