DraftKings Reports Rising Sport Betting Activity for Super Bowl

Expanding Blockchain Partnership

Fans of the professional fight league will be able to collect their favorite UFC fighters and use them to play in games and win prizes in the next edition of gamified digital collectibles with an emphasis on UFC. Both parties anticipate the release of the first season of Reignmakers UFC non-fungible token (NFT)-based games later this year.

UFC’s executive vice president of global consumer products is thrilled to extend the agreement with DraftKings “to add UFC into their highly anticipated Reignmakers gamified NFT collection.” Tracey Bleczinski detailed the qualifications of the new UFC-centric Reignmakers version.

Reignmakers UFC will be a one-of-a-kind, pioneering chance to increase fan interaction by combining DraftKings’ experience in digital sports entertainment with cutting-edge technology that involves hundreds of UFC fighters, including the sport’s greatest personalities. DraftKings and the UFC joined forces in March 2021, when the Boston-based gaming operator became the UFC’s first-ever “Official Sportsbook and Daily Fantasy Partner” in the United States and Canada. The new agreement expands their collaboration into the blockchain space at a time when the UFC is increasing sales of fan memorabilia. In addition, the partners seek to combine collectability with event-based benefits. Beth Beiriger, senior vice president of Product Operations for DraftKings Marketplace, was ecstatic about the expansion of the parties’ relationship through DraftKings’ newest entry in the Reignmakers gamified digital collectibles franchise, noting that UFC has been “a tremendous collaborator” over the years.

Rewarded for Matching UFC Event

Adesanya vs. Cannonier at UFC 276 on July 2 will mark the beginning of the collection of fighters’ NFTs before the official debut. These auctions and drops will be part of DraftKings’ “Heatwave Series,” which will be centered on the UFC’s summer schedule. The UFC version of the Reignmakers game, which is presently in production, will have objectives, achievements, level-ups, leaderboards, and other game aspects, whilst the first collection of fighter NFTs will provide collectors incentives relating to UFC events. Rewards will include entry into unique daily fantasy competitions with cash prizes, bespoke products, and other rewards, depending on the usability of the NFT. DraftKings Marketplace will have access to more than 500 intellectual properties (IPs) of active roster athletes for the Reignmakers UFC collection. DraftKings Marketplace will release the UFC collections in tiers depending on their scarcity, including entry-level NFTs for a mainstream accessible experience, whilst Reignmakers UFC NFTs will be exchanged on the company’s secondary market.
