Caesars Entertainment, a Nasdaq-listed global leader with the most iconic casino and sports betting brands, has announced a joint venture collaboration with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI). 

Under the terms of the agreement, the parties will collaborate on the construction and opening of Caesars Virginia, a $650 million casino in Danville, Virginia.

Creating New Job Opportunities through Collaboration

The new project will be begun this week with ambitious intentions to become a major tourism attraction for the region and nearby areas by the end of 2024, the projected date of its grand inauguration. The casino will be a full-service entertainment center that will generate thousands of new employment in construction and operational industries, therefore bolstering the local economy. 

The new staff will assist in maintaining the hotel’s 500 rooms and provide their services on the exclusive gaming floor for casino players and sports enthusiasts. This establishment will have 1,300 slot machines, 85 live table games, 24 electronic table games, a World Series of Poker area, and a Caesars Sportsbook. The sports betting app is now available for download and registration throughout the state.

The expansive resort will also have spa facilities, its own swimming pool, and a variety of upscale cafés and eateries. Guests seeking five-star entertainment will also have access to a 2,500-seat live entertainment theater and a 40,000-square-foot conference facility.

Caesars Virginia Will Draw New Guests and Caesars Rewards Members

The new casino that Caesars will operate is anticipated to draw both new customers and existing members of the Caesars Rewards loyalty program from the Danville region and beyond in the United States.

Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment, stated the company’s delight in being able to construct a “world-class Caesars resort in Danville with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a cherished partner of Caesars Entertainment” for more than two decades. 

The new casino resort is anticipated to provide Virginians with the brand’s unrivaled service and strong Caesars Rewards loyalty program incentives, as well as its “superstar entertainment talent and culinary expertise.”

Richard Sneed, the chief executive officer of EBCI, referred to the initiative as “a significant opportunity for itscountry and its people” while emphasizing the expansion of a long and fruitful association with Caesars. Caesars presently owns more than 50 world-class resorts, including Eldorado, Caesars Palace, Silver Legacy, Harrah’s, and Horseshoe. EBCI Holdings was awarded permission to purchase the Caesars Southern Indiana casino a year ago.
