Cascades Casino Delta

A $74.5 M Investments: Gateway Cascades Casino Facilities Details

The announcement states that the Grand-opening celebrations on September 29 will begin at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day, with a ceremony scheduled for 4:30 p.m. There will be 500 slot machines, 18 live table games, and up to six electronic table games in the casino’s 40,000-square-foot gaming space.

In addition, the facility will offer dining and culinary alternatives, such as the Match Eatery & Public House, Summit Bar, and a full-service buffet. In addition, there will be a meeting and event space. The connected five-story Delta by Marriot hotel will include 124 rooms, a day spa, a resort-style outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, and parking with designated spaces for electric vehicles.

The Casino More Focus on Recruitment Efforts

In the statement, the company maintains its recruitment efforts at its South Delta location. “Creating a competent workforce to handle the gaming floor and manage the new food and beverage services is a top objective,” stated Gateway in a press release. There are a variety of roles available at Cascades Casino Delta. Dealers, dealer supervisors, and slot attendants are being sought for the casino. Also targeted are guest service representatives and supervisors.

In addition to security officers, cashiers, members of the count team, and managers, the company seeks cooks, assistant chefs, sous chefs, restaurant servers, bartenders, hostesses, and dishwashers. The British Columbia Lottery Corporation granted final approval for the casino’s construction on the former site of the Delta Town & Country Inn in November 2018. At the time, the construction schedule anticipated a mid-2020 opening.

In total, Gateway employs close to 7,000 people and offers approximately 334 table games (including 27 poker tables), 13,555 slot machines, 91 food and beverage outlets, and 561 hotel rooms. Gateway operates Cascades-branded casinos in Langley, Kamloops, and Penticton in British Columbia.
