Launch Pending Authorization and Approvals

Kindred Group and the Swinomish Tribe signed a six-year contract with a five-year extension option to launch the Unibet & Swinomish Sportsbook at Swinomish Casino & Lodge in Anacortes, pending licensing and regulatory approvals.

Kindred Group’s senior vice president of North America, Manuel Stan, commented on the release by expressing his joy at the company’s expansion into further North American gaming markets in partnership with the Swinomish tribe. 

Once Kindred and the Swinomish tribe commence operations at the tribal casino, Washington will become the fifth US gaming jurisdiction where Kindred Group’s Unibet brand will be active.

Increasing Unibet’s U.S. Visibility

Unibet is live in New Jersey with Hard Rock Casino Atlantic City, Pennsylvania with Mohegan Sun Pocono Casino, Indiana with Caesars Horseshoe Hammond Casino, Iowa with Harrah’s Casino, Virginia via a direct market access permit awarded by the Virginia Lottery, and Arizona with Fort Yuma Quechan Tribe.

Kindred Business expanded its footprint in Arizona earlier this year through an arrangement with Turf Paradise that enabled the group to receive nine Limited Event Wagering Operator (LEWO) licenses and build on its early success with the September 2021 opening of Paradise Casino in Yuma.

Kindred Group is committed to continuing to explore possibilities to expand its operations throughout US gaming markets where economic conditions support a sustainable business model, including expansion into additional states.

Kindred Group unveiled its long-term strategy and financial goals in September, among which the development of its market share in North American markets was one of two key priorities, the other being the group’s concentration on the Netherlands following the recent acquisition of a gaming license in the country.

In contrast to the Netherlands, where Kindred sees a rising industry that has already exceeded its expectations, the company believes that in the United States the market has reached its mature stage and the focus should be on enhancing the customer experience.
