Peter & Sons, a YG Masters studio partner, announced on Wednesday its plans to utilize Yggdrasil’s Gigablox engine for its future video slot releases.

The game studio entered into a deal with Yggdrasil, enabling its creative team to leverage one of the latter’s popular proprietary mechanics – the Gigablox.

Peter & Sons looks to enhance its future game production with the integration of the same payout mechanic used in game titles like  ‘Lucky Neko’ and ‘Hades.’

The developer becomes the fourth studio to sign up for the Gigablox mechanic since Yggdrasil introduced this GEM offering within the YG Masters program. Reflex Gaming, DreamTech Gaming, and Bang Bang Games are the other studios that already incorporated this engine for the development of their games.

Gigablox is one of the three Yggdrasil’s proprietary mechanics the supplier introduced to partners as part of the GEM offering. MultiMax and Splitz mechanics also bring fresh concepts to the gaming industry with a focus on increasing player engagement and retention levels.

Peter & Sons is set to implement Gigablox into its games development process, while it may take before the end of the year for the development of the first game built around the said mechanics to begin.

The studio joined Yggdrasil’s YG Masters program in October 2020, with the goal of accelerating growth strategy via access to the GATI technology.

GATI, used by all YG Masters partners, is a preconfigured, regulation-ready development toolkit, enabling studios and game developers to use a standardized technology solution to develop and distribute games anywhere in the world.
