MGA to launch more celebrity series

Along with product releases, the company’s strategy includes international strategic alliances, global exclusive agreements, promotional measures, and locally and internationally applicable land-based restrictions.

Introduced by José Antonio Giacomelli, general director of MGA Games, he continued by stating that next year’s goal is to create and certify more than 50 international titles with IPs – similar to its celebrity Paolo Futre and Sylvia Geersen slot.

He also revealed plans to produce Spanish, Colombian, and Portuguese Celebrities series and bring “famous personalities” to Italy, Holland, Germany, Sweden, and Denmark.

“With games like Golden Throne, The Last Gladiator, and Cleopatra, we’ve taken the product a step further, and our objective is to localize all of our games for each area we intend to enter,” Giacomelli explained. MGA Games established a presence in Portugal in 2021, when it acquired deals with 75% of operators for their Portuguese Celebrities series, which features Paulo Futre, Anna Catharina, and Chef Jackal and is already live on Pokerstars.

Upward Momentum

Moving forward, Sara Gómez, MGA Games’ sales manager, identified the Netherlands as the company’s next destination, noting that “we are prepared to launch with Microgaming, Pariplay, Oryx, and Leander, among others.”

Simultaneously, MGA Games is reportedly preparing to introduce products in Italy, where agreements have been reached with five big operators.

“We will continue to pursue the strategy that has enabled us to flourish in Spain and will replicate that success in all regulated nations throughout Europe, beginning with the certification of more than 30 games for these additional jurisdictions,” Gómez added. Concentrating on the Spanish market, where MGA reports that its slot games are available in 95% of national online casinos, the company intends to increase its commitment to the country in 2022 by launching 26 new three-reel Spanish Celebrities items – up from 18 in 2021.

Another component of the product plan was the commercialization of the company’s new table game, “Grand Croupier Roulette,” which featured a proprietary 3D engine. Finally, Roberto Ayala, MGA Games’ R&D director, discussed the company’s extension of its slot library with Big Time Gaming’s Megaways, which will allow MGA to personalize its Celebrities series with the renowned mechanic.
