The Jockey Club has signed a five-year deal with Playtech to “transfer the strength of our historic brands into the igaming sector.”

The relationship will see the gaming technology company create a variety of cross-product content based on the firm’s famed races and racecourses.

Playtech will have the rights to develop a variety of content across a variety of verticals, including casino, live casino, poker, virtual sports, and bingo, under the conditions of the agreement.

The first piece of content is slated to appear in time for this year’s Cheltenham Festival, and will comprise a random number generator casino game that will join Playtech’s Sporting Legends suite.

The Jockey Club, founded in 1750, owns and runs 15 racecourses around the United States, as well as The National Stud, Jockey Club Estates, Jockey Club Catering, Jockey Club Live, and Jockey Club Catering Club Services.
