“No Sweat” to Replace “Risk-free”

Amy Howe, the chief executive officer of FanDuel, recently discussed the company’s new strategy with the Wall Street Journal. She stated that the corporation is re-evaluating its use of “risk-free” when advertising its goods to new clients. 

According to Howe’s comments, FanDuel will “grow up” and adopt a more responsible vocabulary. Consequently, the operator will become more ethical and prioritize responsible gaming in its marketing approach. Howe said that she had “a tremendous feeling of duty” to put things right. She said that what brought FanDuel to its current position won’t necessarily be what makes it a $10 billion business.

FanDuel has always prioritized safer gaming

FanDuel is dedicated to providing all of its clients with a secure gaming environment. The firm presently requires all new employees to complete training on ethical gaming. Existing employees may also participate and be reimbursed for their efforts.

 In addition, the company’s applications provide consumers with all the necessary tools to limit their expenditure or even abstain from gaming. FanDuel became one of the firms commended by the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling due to its initiatives.

“Risk-free” is often a contentious concept, given that gambling always involves some dangers. Even this varies from operator to operator. Previously, FanDuel’s growth plan relied heavily on its “risk-free” approach. 

This strategy is specifically responsible for the company’s rapid ascent to the top of the New York market. Despite this, the firm intends to implement modifications that better represent its dedication to safer play. 

What brought FanDuel to its present position is not necessarily what will propel it ahead, as Howe observed. FanDuel has thus chosen not to use the slogan “risk-free” and has instead adopted the less problematic euphemism “no sweat.” 

FanDuel has already used the word many times, with the NBA playoffs in Michigan being one of the most recent instances. Previously, the company’s promotional gaming offering was referred to as a “No Sweat Same Game Parlay.”
